NOTIFICATION PGM-CET-2009
The Common Entrance Test for postgraduate Medical courses PGM-CET 2009 was conducted on Sunday, 25th January 2009 by Competent Authority appointed by Govt. of Maharashtra and the provisional result of the same is being declared on 18th February 2009.
The Competent Authority has received representations from various candidates making grievance as to occurrence of some mistake/s in the questions of the question paper of the aforesaid examination.
All such representations/grievances were put before the subject experts. After due deliberation in this regard on the basis of the opinion and advice of the respective subject experts it has transpired that most of these representations/grievances were ill-founded and/or factually incorrect, basically because the same originated on the basis of only the oral information of the examinees.
The subject experts have opined that five questions in the question paper of the aforesaid examination are defective. However to obviate any controversy raised in regard to these five questions the Competent Authority on the basis of the opinion and advice of the respective subject experts has taken a decision to make these five questions "non-evaluative / invalid". Each of these questions carried one mark for a correct answer. Therefore instead of reducing the total number of marks for the entire examination by five marks, one mark each i.e. total five marks be awarded to all the candidates by making responses of each and every candidate in regard to these five questions in issue as non-evaluative.
It is expressly clarified that all other “Model-Answers” in respect of balance 295 questions provided by all the subject experts from and the one originally provided by the examiners of this competent authority have fully matched with each other and no change and/or objection whatsoever was found in that regard.
It is further clarified that the aforesaid five questions have been made non-evaluative and therefore answer to these questions will appear as “ * ” in the key response given to the candidate, if candidate opts for verification.
